DataRobot
Enterprise AI and machine learning platform
- Data & analytics · editorial fit

Overview
DataRobot is an enterprise platform for building, operating, and governing AI agents, generative AI applications, and predictive models. It provides workspaces for experimentation, registries for versioned assets, deployment tooling, monitoring, and policy controls across the AI lifecycle.
The current product is positioned as an Agent Workforce Platform rather than only an AutoML service. Teams can build agents from templates or bring agents created with external frameworks, deploy them across managed or self-hosted infrastructure, and apply common lineage, evaluation, identity, cost, and intervention controls.
Supported use cases
Move an AI agent into production
Build or import an agent, evaluate it, register the asset, deploy it, and monitor its live behavior.
Govern a mixed AI estate
Apply consistent controls to predictive models, generative workflows, and agents from multiple frameworks.
Run AI in a constrained environment
Deploy workloads where data residency, air-gapping, or infrastructure ownership prevents a single public-cloud design.
Limitations
Enterprise-oriented delivery
The platform targets production enterprise deployments and often pairs software with a Center of Excellence or forward-deployed engineering engagement.
Key capabilities
Agent building and experimentation
Provides templates, playgrounds, vector databases, model comparison, notebooks, and low-code or code-first tools for creating AI solutions.
Deployment across environments
Runs supported agents and models in managed SaaS, private cloud, on-premises, sovereign, hybrid, or air-gapped environments.
Monitoring and intervention
Tracks agent and model behavior, accuracy, latency, cost, drift, tool use, and policy violations in production.
Governance and registry
Versions AI assets, records lineage and tests, controls access, and supports approvals and compliance documentation.
