Hex
A data and analytics workspace for people and AI agents.
- Data & analytics · editorial fit

Overview
Hex is a collaborative cloud analytics workspace for querying data, writing SQL or Python, building notebooks and apps, and sharing analysis. Its current platform supports people and AI agents in the same governed environment, so a user can move between conversational questions, notebook cells, visual exploration, and published results.
Hex Agent can perform analytics work with connected data, while the surrounding product provides data connections, compute, reusable components, scheduled runs, alerts, reviews, and governed collaboration. A Community plan supports small personal projects; professional, team, and enterprise plans expand agent access and production use.
Supported use cases
Investigate a business question
Ask the agent for an analysis, inspect the generated work, and refine it with SQL, Python, or visual cells.
Publish a recurring report
Build an interactive data app and schedule the underlying analysis for a team.
Create a governed analytics workspace
Share connections, components, and collections while controlling access to data and projects.
Limitations
Community-plan limits
The free Community plan uses small compute, limited agent access, and up to five published apps; advanced collaboration and compute require paid plans.
