Fiddler AI
AI observability and model monitoring platform
- Data & analytics · editorial fit

Overview
Fiddler AI is an observability, security, and control platform for enterprise AI agents and models. It records and evaluates production traces so builders and governance teams can understand behavior, detect safety or quality problems, monitor cost and latency, and enforce guardrails around AI systems.
The current product has expanded from predictive-model monitoring into an AI control plane for agentic and generative systems while retaining predictive observability. A free tier covers real-time guardrails, a usage-priced Developer tier adds unified observability and evaluations, and the Enterprise tier adds scale, governance, deployment options, and support.
Supported use cases
Monitor a production AI agent
Trace agent actions and tool calls, then investigate failures, latency, quality, and token cost.
Enforce safety at runtime
Apply guardrails to detect harmful or noncompliant inputs and outputs before they reach users.
Evaluate a model or agent release
Compare experiments and ongoing production behavior with task-specific evaluators.
Limitations
Tiered product scope
The free tier covers guardrails; unified observability, custom evaluation, enterprise deployment, and governance require paid tiers.
Key capabilities
Agent and model observability
Monitors traces, performance, quality, behavior, and cost across agentic and predictive systems.
Continuous evaluations
Runs tests and production evaluations with built-in, custom, or bring-your-own judges.
Runtime guardrails
Detects or blocks risks such as hallucinations, toxicity, sensitive-data exposure, prompt injection, and jailbreak attempts.
Enterprise governance
Adds role-based controls, auditability, scalable deployment, and governance workflows.
